McRae AR Real Estate
Just over ten minutes south of Searcy and roughly the same distance north of Beebe AR Real Estate, lies the city of McRae, one of only 16 incorporated municipalities in White County. While officially a city, McRae has the warmer, more close-knit feel of a classic small town, which isn’t really surprising when you consider the fact that its population is estimated at 697 and it has a total area of half a square mile.
McRae, AR real estate is composed primarily of single-family homes, most of which have two to three bedrooms. Much of the housing stock is made up of homes built during the 1960s and ‘70s, though there's also a significant number of pre-WWII homes and new construction.
Established in the late 19th century, McRae started life as a railroad town. The tracks of the St. Louis, Iron Mountain, and Southern Railroad, which was then known as the Cairo and Fulton Railroad and is today's Union Pacific, still run through town parallel to Highway 367.
Surrounded by vast farmland and a few stands of still intact woods, McRae, AZ real estate is classified as rural. If you're looking to build your dream home from the ground up, there are several parcels of land for sale here as well.
